THE TIMOTHY HOUSE

A ministry of Good Works, Inc.
A Community of HOPE

The name THE TIMOTHY HOUSE is taken from Timothy of the New Testament who became a follower of Jesus during the first century AD. This young man became one of the first Christians through a personal and transformational encounter with Jesus the Christ. He later became known among the early Christians as a “faithful man”; one who was spoken well of by those closest to him and a godly example of the kind of person who genuinely cares about the needs of people. On several occasions Timothy was sent by the early Church leadership to address problems and help people in different Christian communities–to provide hope and to demonstrate the love of Christ.

Acts 16:1 * I Corinthians 4:17 * Philippians 2:19-23

In the same way, THE TIMOTHY HOUSE is intended to be a place which genuinely cares about the needs of people; especially homeless people!
On several occasions in scripture, Timothy is mentioned as the kind of person who will faithfully represent Jesus to people. In the same way, we hope that this house will represent Christ and His way of life to everyone who comes here–“in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity”–I Timothy 4:12
