Born and raised in Maumee, Ohio, I learned about the love Christ had for others and me. As a follower of Christ, I wanted to display this unconditional love to others. Though my motivationwas high, I still had no plans on how to do this beyond everyday interactions. I found myself praying to God to reveal His plans for me.

After graduating high school, the Lord guided my wife, Stacy, and I to Athens, OH to pursue an education at Ohio University. Recognizing my gifts in personal interaction, I decided to major in Communication Studies while pursuing academic certificates in Writing and Social Media.

Though my studies took up most of my time, I found the desire in my heart to serve the Athens community. I learned about Good Works through different informational sessions that described their overall mission for the community. It is through these sessions that Stacy and I decided to become weeknight volunteers at the Good Works Timothy House.

After months had passed, I was blessed with the opportunity to become a part of the night shift staff at the Good Works Timothy House. It is through this experience that I learned my passion to connect with those experiencing poverty.

A year or so after this, I graduated from Ohio University unaware of what to do with my newly obtained degree. Soon after, I was offered to become House Supervisor for the Timothy House. I graciously accepted, as I wanted to further be part of Good Works’ mission. Today, I help sustain a safe and clean temporary home for those residing at the Good Work’s Timothy House. I eagerly look forward to the plans God has for me here!
