Ana Beardsley

Hi there! I’m Ana, and I have the privilege of acting as a caregiver at The Good Works Timothy House. I grew up in a small town in Washington County Ohio, so I’m a born and bred southeastern Ohio gal. Although I dreamed of leaving Appalachia, I found my heart tied to Asbury University and fell in love with Wilmore, Kentucky. So, it was in that tiny town, at that tiny school, that I found meaningful friendship, faithful professors, and a bachelor’s degree in social work.
A few years later, I found myself working in an assisted living facility and living at home. I saw an email from Asbury giving me an internship opportunity with a little organization called Good Works. I couldn’t believe the location—Athens, Ohio! A city only an hour from my hometown! On a whim I applied for Good Works’ Summer Internship and was hired on staff directly after completing an academic internship the following Spring. God provided a loving community and opportunity to pursue this position, so I’m sticking around to witness His plans!
Most days you’ll find me reading, writing, taking walks, and chatting with the lovely characters placed in my life—all of which is best done with an iced vanilla chai from Donkey Coffee in my hand.
