Terri Woodson

Hello!
My name is Terri Woodson and my husband Bill, and I have a son named Benjamin. I found out about Good Works when I was without a home in 1996. Then the Timothy House was known as the Emergency Shelter. I became a Christian while staying at the Timothy House. Not long after becoming a Christian, there was a young family staying at the shelter that encouraged some of the residents to hop in their truck and go to church. This had a positive effect on the relationships in the house. After staying at the Timothy House for three months I was invited into the Transitional Housing Program on The Luhrig Road Property. This is now known as The Hannah House. Sometime after leaving, I did an internship at the Timothy House while attending Hocking College. When I came on staff I did House Supervision at the Timothy House. Now I participate in the community life of the Hannah House in Administration.
With so much to be thankful for – knowing Good Works was my in-road to so many good things, there is this ongoing hope that it will also be that for the people we are serving now. The hope that the misfortune of losing housing will actually lead to a better horizon. That meeting and working with people who care about them will give them a renewed sense of humanity. Encouraging them to make better choices. That by giving support and affirmation, they will find the strength to persevere and take one more step in the right direction.
