The Hope Center
We completed this facility in November 2011! Click here to read Keith’s notes from his speech at the Groundbreaking.
The Hope Center is intended to provide a large gathering space for the many groups who visit Good Works. This is an area where visiting groups can easily gather together and where other group events can take place. We have comfortable chairs, three round tables (and more on an as-needed basis.) We have a 50-inch widescreen monitor for slide shows or videos and wireless access to the internet. Let us know what you need, and we can accommodate you.
Over the years, God has provided us with the resources and facilities for the ministries that have been entrusted to us. While the ministry is about people, the facilities become tools for these ministries. These facilities have enabled us to respond to the needs of people in our community who are struggling with poverty.
The Hope Center is 1300 square feet and holds a about 25-50 people with additional office and storage space. It attaches to our existing Administration Building via a large covered deck, which also provides additional gathering space outside.
Construction began in March 2009 and was completed in November 2011. As with all our construction projects, volunteers were the bulk of the labor who assisted us with the construction. The cost of the materials was completely paid for by the donations of people like you!
Since 1981, we have relied on people who joyfully desire to participate in the Good Works Community of HOPE to make this ministry possible. This includes the day-to-day operations and the ongoing development of building up this ministry to respond to the needs of our friends and neighbors who are struggling with poverty. Thank you for being part of this history!
